The Paula
Without going in search of inspiration, simply walking down a street and observing a wall of lime worn by the passage of time, I am transferred to a time where art, the joy of living with little and the eagerness to transmit the pure truth in singing, playing and dancing.
I came across a portrait of La Paula, I was totally absorbed by the expression of her eyes and by the brown color of her complexion, worn like that wall; La Paula wanted to lead me to her life, to her history, to her madness ... Her perpetual and immortal love for her mother, whom she never wanted to abandon, until at the end of her days, making misery an art , she escaped from human madness to live in sanity in which only a few know how to live. With this project I pay tribute to this malignant bailaora and in it I will tell you where the warmth of her colors and the strength of her face wanted to transport me .
